How to setup Rockspace wi-fi range extender?

First things first, connect the extender to a power outlet near your router. Hold off until the blue power LED turns on. Any Rockspace wireless range extenders model can be setup using the below given procedure.

First way is via the WPS button.

    • Press the WPS button on the router or access point.

    • In 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the extender.

    • Wait until the extender’s Signal LED turns blue to confirm a successful connection. Try again or follow method 2 if the Signal LED does not turn blue. In case it doesn’t work then we recommend you to reset your extender first.

A web browser is the second approach via re.rockspace.local

    • Connect your PC or cell phone to the extender’s network “rockspace_EXT”. Unplug any Ethernet cables from your extender if any are connected. At the point when you are using a smartphone, guarantee that the mobile data is off.

    • The login window appears on its own. If it does not, manually enter http://192.168.0.254 or http://re.rockspace.local into a web browser to begin. Write down your admin password so you can use it later. Click Ok. The default username and password is “admin” for rockspace wifi extender.

    • Choose the Wi-Fi network (SSID) that you want to extend from the list of available wireless networks. Enter the Wi-Fi network’s password to extend it. Hold on until the page shows you “Expanded effectively”!

Move your extender around.

    • Find an ideal location for your range extender after the extender has been set up. Approximately halfway between your router and the Wi-Fi dead zone, connect the extender. Your router needs to be able to reach the location you choose to place the extender.

    • The Signal LED will turn blue after about two minutes. To improve signal quality, move the extender closer to the router if it does not work. If the signal led is red then that means you need to move the extender closer to the router.

Connecting devices with the router.

Connect to the network in your Wi-Fi network list that has the name _EXT or _5GEXT added to the end of it. Assuming you have changed the network name, find the network you set. Additionally, the extended network’s password is identical to your current Wi-Fi network by default. So, now you can connect your phone’s computer’s laptop’s, smart tv’s etc to the newly setup rockspace router network.
